Landsat Data Continuity

The best way to assure Landsat data continuity is to assure Landsat mission continuity.  A Landsat mission that is continuously funded, continuously staffed, and continuously under development will assure that the Landsat archive is maintained and continuously enhanced.  Mission continuity will also significantly reduce the long-term costs while continuing to make Landsat relevant.  Without continuous improvements in Landsat mission capabilities and usability, competing Earth observation systems will become more important and eventually reduce Landsat to an archive.
